The Offer: Competitive Pay & Great Location

• Hourly Rate: $43.51 per hour + Superannuation.

• Location: Maroochydore, Sunshine Coast, QLD.

• Role Type: This is a Casual Worker position, hired as required for service delivery, with the potential to transition to a Permanent role.

Your Daily Impact

As a Parks Worker, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks crucial to maintaining the region's parks and gardens to a high standard, which may include:

• General park and garden maintenance, including mowing, edging, weeding, and mulching.

• Tree trimming, pruning, and vegetation control.

• Minor repairs and maintenance of park infrastructure (e.g., playground equipment, street furniture).

• Operation of a range of plant, machinery, and hand tools safely and efficiently.

• Assisting with planting and landscaping projects.

• Adhering to WHS procedures and Council policies at all times.

Essential Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following:

• Right to Work: Full Australian Working Rights.

• Horticulture/Arboriculture Qualification: Certificate II in Horticulture or Arboriculture.

• Safety Card: Construction Industry White/Blue Card (for WHS compliance).

• Driver's Licence: Current and unrestricted Class C (Car) Australian Driver's Licence.

Highly Desirable (or Willingness to Attain)

• MR Licence: A Medium Rigid (MR) Driver's Licence is highly desirable. Candidates must be willing to attain this licence if they do not currently hold it.
